I am a old scool skater, at 46 , with the Big stick i can skate pretty stable ,dont get me wrong I can still use a regular board or surf board, but this gives the stability and is very much like a SUP. Replacing the Road Grips requires the determination and strength of a pro wrestler. They are not easy to change. Better to twist them around rather than remove them 1st. I'm sure they'll eventually come up with a better system for replacing the rubbers. Once on they work great as breaks and for pushing. If you ride more than twice a week, like i do, and ride lots of hills you'll probably go through a set every 4-5 weeks. Price is fair. Would be nice to be able to buy a half dozen or so at a reduced price.Value Quality Price
Over great product! (Posted on 3/19/11) - Easiest way to replace your grips Review by Elton

After 4 months of riding, I'm still on my first set of grips. I rotated them once after about 2 months, and tried the "boiling method". I used some shims to get them back on. These things are NOT very pliable, even after boiling. So...about 15 minutes ago, I decided it was time to rotate for a 2nd time (maybe the last, but we'll see). I tried a new method, and didn't even need to boil the suckers...I used a SHOEHORN!! It worked super fast for each side, and maybe took 10 minutes tops for the whole job. Best of all, the grips went back on exactly where I wanted them to. Thanks again, Kahuna Creations, for your awesome products. I'm in the best shape I've been in 15 years!!
