My wife bought me the Adjustable Big Stick for Christmas. I have been using it for about a week and a half. Overall I love the Blade - best design of any paddle I have used. I am curious to see how long it will last (although it seems to be doing well so far), but I definitely love the feel of the shape. The adjustability of the Big Stick is definitely a plus - especially as someone who commutes to work on a board. The only two things I dislike so far is the metal "clinky" sound with each paddle stroke (a result of two pieces of metal rather than one solid piece) and some whistling which comes from the holes in the metal (necessary for adjustability). My single piece sticks are quieter and just feel slightly better to me when I am paddling. Obviously this is a trade off for the adjustability. If you are looking for a stick for commuting, traveling, or to fit various size riders than the Adjustable Big Stick is a great choice. If you are looking for the best feel when you are paddling than I would stick with a single piece paddle. Personally I see myself going back to my single piece sticks. However I will be doing some modifications to those and ordering 1-2 Blades - Gotta give props to Kahuna Creations for a great design with their Blade! (Posted on 1/3/13)

I ordered an adjustable big stick not for me but so that my buds can go SULP with me. However I've used it and I really like it. It's light, the top grip is great and the push point is much improved. I was concerned that it would be too stiff but it's not and there really is little flex in the bamboo stick anyway. The adjustability is great and I've found me using different lengths at different times depending on what I'm doing. I haven't put it to the blister test on a 10 mile plus run but the surface seems smooth and i do not anticipate any problems in that regard. I'm very pleased. (Posted on 12/4/12)

so after being a long time fan and wanting a big stick since you guys first launched i finally got one and its even better than i imagined i actually challenge anyone to try this and not like it ... its impossible it works great and i really cant wait to see the evolution of your products so far ive enjoyed by watching now ive got my stick and my boards next its a bombora some ceramic bearings and gumball wheels and its on like donkey kong (Posted on 11/3/12)

I used it for the first time today. Very good for the upper body. It was wet today and it did slip on the road & trail surfaces. Already there is some wear on the rubber blade after day one. Overall very satisfied. (Posted on 10/2/12)

I can not speak highly enough about Kahuna Big Stick. My cousin got me informed about Kahuna and the minute i saw the video i knew i had to try it. I rode 18 miles my first time! I was impressed with feeling of finally being about to ride a board. i was never a skateboarder and i got the hang of it after a few minutes. As soon as i got home i made my purchase and have not looked back. Such a great investment. $100 for the adjustable is a unbeatable price. The boards are very reasonably priced and feel very natural. I have started recruiting some friends around here because no one else around here seems to do the big stick. I also get stopped a ton with people asking me what im doing because they have never seen anything like it.

I will be a returning customer for LIFE.

If you want a high quality product, great workout, and a unique way of cruising around then the Kahuna Big Stick is for you!

Just got back from my first ride- Love It!! Easy for even an old guy of 50- great exercise and a lot of fun! I've been watching a lot of people in Huntington Beach ride these and I've been dying to try it. I can adjust this for my 7 year old son easily. I am extremely happy with this purchase! I love that I can fold it down and stash it in the trunk of my car. I bought it to work out my upper body after several elbow surgeries. It doesn't disappoint. The blade grips the ground really well. Much more sturdy than I expected and it looks great. It's funny how the bikers in spandex snicker on the bike trails, but the moms pushing strollers or jogging give you smiles. I've been using it a few months now a couple times a week and already developed a fun, carvy, flowing style. Up hill is still tough for me though! You definitly progress the more you use it. It works well as a downhill break, but after a couple times there's noticeable wear. I recommend sticking to slides or foot breaking to slow down. (Posted on 11/5/11)

I purchased the adjustable stick to add to my collection of bamboo, carbon, and original sticks. Each give a slightly different vibe to the ride. This stick is much stiffer than my bamboo, for example, so I use it when the mood hits.

Excellent evolution in design because I can let my 8 y/o son use this for years to come, as he grows (saves me several hundred dollars!!)

Big plus when traveling as I can now carry this on the plane and not have to check it... I bring a board and stick wherever I go!!!
